Re: JLV should use Unreal Engine 4!

- I'd kind of like to have displacement textures even though that would hurt the FPS. By "displacement textures," do you mean something like this? 1GDrB_5UmSI Or maybe more realistically, like this? https://answers.unity.com/storage/temp/77916-sadasdsad.jpg Either way, that would be prett...

Re: 2018-02-11 snapshot

You want reshade delay at 0 if you're editing. Would it be better if I made it do that automatically when the editor is enabled? I noticed this as well, but figured it out pretty quickly. I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't want the delay at 0 when in the editor, so unless there's something ...

Re: [RELEASE] 2018 Cedar valley MX / SX

Stoked to see another track from you. Put in a bunch of laps on the rough mx and a few on the sx so far and both are lots of fun. I agree with the private track vibe. There’s a nice mix of obstacles too, from the big booters to the interesting singles and rollers to keep you in your toes. I apprecia...

Just learned that you can up-arrow to your last chat input. At least now I'm not typing the whole thing in every time!

Re: 50cc track

Where are the timing gates?

A lot of the track has a fun pit bike feel on the 50, and there are some well built sections. But after a couple laps I got bored not being able to race.

A finished track would be a lot cooler.

In the future, anything will be possible. If only I knew more than HTML 4.1.

Force Reload/Restart Button in Editor

A button in the editor menu to reload and restart the track would be a huge timesaver. 1 click vs. 17-ish keystrokes and 2 clicks. Considering the number of times many of us go back and forth between the game and Photoshop/Notepad/etc. in an edit session, those keystrokes add up fast! Bonus, it woul...

Re: 2018 Pre italian special event - Cingoli (prepped)

Nice work on this track, Gabriele! I just finished the 2-stroke race and figured I'd share my thoughts. Overall, It's a really fun layout. Great elevation changes and I love fighting to get a good drive up that looong up hill. It's especially rewarding on a 125. I've been trying to figure out a good...

Re: Trouble with Sketchup and heightmaps

Unfortunately, Jakob is correct that SketchUp has been "updated" so that you have to have the Pro version to get terrain data, and even worse, the data is way lower resolution than it used to be. Basically, SketchUp is worthless for this now, IMO. Which sucks because it used to be pretty e...

Re: NEW GUYS wanting to know EVERYTHING that MXS has to offer

Is there a user manual for mx sim? I wish! Lots of helpful stuff being linked in this thread, but generally finding answers is harder than the first time you made a lap around Rabbit Hill without falling. Photobucket's plan to destroy the internet hasn't helped things either. In the spirit of yzmxe...

Thanks for putting this together! I never quite understood the sun vectors, and always just used this calculator: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=25668

But this definitely helps me wrap my brain around what is going on better.
