Re: tileinfo info

It only tests the depth directly under the wheel. It can go deeper than the limit because the radius will affect neighboring areas that might already be under the limit. Shouldn't get too far though. How deep is it going?

Re: JLV should use Unreal Engine 4!

So what options are we limited to with materials currently? Is it just Specular and Mirror/Gloss? Is it just the extra options like Metallic, Roughness, Anisotropic, Sheen, Clearcoat, IOR/Transmission, and accurate Fresnel, that have been giving me much better results? I suppose if you just added t...

Re: tileinfo info

The first number tells it when to use that setting. If the track is worn 1 foot below the original height, it will use the line where <depth> is 1. The second and third numbers scale erode_depth and erode_inner_depth. You have the default correct. That will gradually reduce erode_depth and erode_inn...

You want reshade delay at 0 if you're editing. Would it be better if I made it do that automatically when the editor is enabled?

Re: Duplicating Timing Gates

If I can remember, this could be done with scripting. Really waiting for this too. Scripting might help but it's going to require some special attention. It's annoying since there's all kinds of scripts out there that don't expect multiple paths in the racetrack. Probably do split gates and try to ...

114 was MXSer Brandon Hartranft. Finished top ten but was docked down to 19th for that cut. Hey where did you see this at? I haven’t seen anything about this since you said it. There was a thread on Vital. I thought he had a top ten in the books so I was a little disappointed. :( I honestly feel li...

Re: Lag issue with MXS after clean windows installation

If turning ground texure levels all the way down stops it it's a problem with rendering into textures. Might help to switch the terrain rendering mode to "copy" instead of "direct" or vice versa.

Re: JLV should use Unreal Engine 4!

I think one of the biggest benefits of adding the principled node, would be the ease of texturing for the artists. The materials will be able to pull a lot more weight and we won't have to do nearly the amount texturing work. With less texturing in Photoshop we will have significantly less psd size...

Re: FOV The PERFECT Setting For Your Setup

The fov setting is a little weird in that it sets the fov for the largest 4:3 aspect rectangle that will fit in the window. So if the window is 4:3 or taller, it directly sets it. If the window is wider than 4:3, it uses a wider fov so that the 4:3 area in the middle has the specified fov. It's a p...

Re: Lag issue with MXS after clean windows installation

You're getting a lot of 32 fps frames. Does it help if you set "ground texture levels" to 0?

Re: Track modified when connecting to servers.

Try making a completely clean install+personal folder setup. Just the zzz*.saf files and nothing else. Then install your track and save the trackinfo. Does the hash in the trackinfo change?

Re: JLV should use Unreal Engine 4!

Each one of those settings play off of each other. As you may of noticed there is no option for fresnel. So if you change the value of metallic to 1, it give it the properties of a metal. Then based off amount of specularity and roughness that you give it, it will automatically calculate the correc...

I believe that node is essentially just mix(diffuse, gloss).
