Re: help please

Bombshelter requires client version 34, which is 2019-01-01 snapshot.

Re: THE OFFICIAL MXS SX SERIES: 2019 rF Supercross (Pro and Amateur) (NA)

Sorry. I let bombshelter's disk fill up, deleted a bunch of (but not enough) demos and it's full again. I just deleted all of them and set the auto delete time to 4 days. I think it'll be good now.

Re: TRACKS ARE ALL WHITE!!

It has to be in the root MX Simulator folder. As an example, if the game wants a file named "textures/dirt.png", how would it know to look in "mods/textures/dirt.png"?

Re: Sound not working

Sometimes disabling DirectSound acceleration can help. It's in the sound settings in control panel.

Re: Throwback week on 19801?

Once I wrap up 1.13 I'm planning on starting a casual series somewhat like this. I figured we'd vote on the tracks and do one track a week.

I suspect it's actually a different problem. Do you get any error messages before the crash?

Send me an email from the address you ordered with and I'll have your installer resent.

Re: Offset Spikes & FPS Drops

Make sure you have demo recording off as well.

What does /fpshist show? If you're getting slow frames, does it also happen with just the title screen up?

Re: Offset Spikes & FPS Drops

Does it help if you raise the priority for mx.exe in task manager?

Here's a patch to get rid of the wiggling stadium part in A1:

Not sure what would be best. Probably want to remove most of the torso and upper arms. Going to be a little ugly no matter what.

Try it again. I had some old IP addresses blocked on the web server and have now unblocked them.

Re: Will scripting allow us to make a Look Left/Look Right Option?

It's debatable what the best thing to do is. It's a little like "Punch Out" where you want to be able to see through the character sometimes.

Re: Frame Stuttering

That's disappointing. I was hoping the Optimus settings in the new snapshot would help for stuff like this.

I'd have been surprised if reinstalling the game made any difference. There's not a lot to the game. It's just one exe. The OS and drivers are much more complicated.

Re: Will scripting allow us to make a Look Left/Look Right Option?

I probably will rewrite the highest level of the drawing code in javascript eventually. For aiming the camera, I'd probably just hard code that. The main reason I never did it is because it'll expose some weird stuff in the first person model.
