Re: Bike Setup

After playing the game awhile now, I think that you should get down to 11 stability. For now, set it up just like DJ said earlier in the thread- 20 stability +1 tooth in rear sprocket i have the rider mass dist. thing set at 45, seems like a good spot and ride a 125 two-stroke it's a lot easier to r...

Re: Whoops...

One thing nobody mentioned is this: use manual shifting. After getting used to it, it made everything easier, especially whoops. 3rd or 4th gear, even on the 2 stroke, is right for most whoops in this game. I pretty much don't mess with leaning back cuz it's likely to make you swerve (maybe not on t...

Re: Two-stroke revival - Will TM keep them alive?

Why don't they put that much technology and research into two strokes? Because 4 strokes are the future of MX. As much as you want to keep your 2t, eventually, 4 strokes are going to be dominant. It's progression. The factories know what is best for us, no matter if we realize it or not. It's like ...

Re: Kincauaca MX

I like this track, I'll probably keep it around. I was hoping that it would somehow remind me of what it was like to spend 4 weeks in Brazil. Sadly it did not. If you made the textures a little 'prettier' and made the track and scenery look like Brazil, then you'd have yourself quite a track. It is ...

Re: 59 Motocross Park

I like this track.

The file size is a bit much for what it is, tho.

It's a good track for play riding, a little SX and good whip jumps.

The little bumbs and so forth are pretty much invisible without the graphics turned way up, but it's a track ill def keep.

Re: Fastet rider who has passed you!

I got to ride with Josh Hansen extensively at the Donnie Hansen Motocross academy back when I rode 80s. I saw Josh demolish his home track on a yz80 as well as a yz125. I was also passed by Andrew Short when he was riding kx125s. I wasn't fast enough at the time to really appreciate or make the most...

Re: 19802 server issues

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't downloaded that snapshot, or any snapshot for that matter. The file appeared to have the same icon as the main MX simulator icon, and I put it in the personal folder with all the other downloaded stuff. I haven't really noticed any difference in the game, and the 02 se...

19802 server issues

For some reason, I am only able to race on the 02 server when the track is Beaumont. For any other track, I am immediately disconnected with the message 'does not match server's track'. I have downloaded all of the track competition tracks and all of the object packages that are said to be necessary...

Re: HOW DO YOU WHIP!

ya it's tough to whip with high stability. It's hard to not whip with 0 stability.

If you're powersliding and/or slightly wash out the front end off the lip, you'll get more than enough whippage.

Re: MXON 2009

Stewart got "beat" in the technical sense that the Euro rider's were beat this year. If James was beat "straight-up" last year, then in that case this year the European riders were "straight up" humiliated. That said, I'm a Pourcel fan. His riding style is art and he's evolving the way dirtbikes are...

Where to DL Pinned Town, Mantova, etc...???

Apparently there is a Track Contest page where I can download all the tracks. I may be just stupid here, but it is nowhere to be found under any of the threads under the "Tracks" forum. Furthermore, a search of "Track Contest" does not yield this page despite hundreds of results. A search of "Track ...

List of Online Servers

I'm having trouble finding much info on all the different online servers to race on. So far I've only raced the stock track server but have downloaded a bunch of tracks. I was thinkin it'd be helpful to have a list of all the online servers and the tracks needed for them. If there's already a thread...

Re: Skins and Models Requests

I didn't read every page of this thread, so this mighta been suggested...

Pitbikes!

Specifically a z50 or xr50 with a fast engine. That would motivate me to learn the track editor and make my old backyard MX and SX tracks which were the magnum opus of my life.

The video quality is poor, but this is the SX track that I used to be my backyard. I do the whoops in both directions because they are easier to hit fast in the backwards direction.
