you start in the middle of nowhere and there appears to be no finish line/gates.

fun track but your timing gates are whacked.

is there a way to get rid of the "ghost rider" that is included?

I normally delete the file before unpacking, but this is a .saf file and I don't know if I can do that?

I don't like having it cause I'm slow and I'll never beat the ghost.

yeah, I ONLY run Time Trial Mode. THat's the crazy part.

Completely confused. The last half dozen tracks I've downloaded are starting me behind a gate. I have it configured for the key B to reset my bike anytime I push it. These latest tracks do not reset the bike. However, when I load up any of the old sx tracks that I have on my machine, I start my time...

There are most definitely timing gates on the track brother. ok, I could be doing something wrong, but I always have button (B) that resets my lap. Why do I not have that option on these tracks with a starting gate? you probably have the "backing up aborts attempt" option turned off. nope, it's on....
