I have a TX and it was a serious upgrade over my G25. Not sure how good the newer Logitech stuff is so can't really comment on that. The build quality on the TX is way superior to the G25.

I would never base a decision like this on one Doctor's opinion. I would get at least one more opinion, potentially two. I would try to find a ortho that works with professional athletes. They should be using the best technology/techniques when compared with run of the mill local orthos. Good luck!
