Re: 2023-10-14 snapshot

Great update! Could there be an offset parameter for roost decals and is there a way to dedicate a decal only to the rear wheel? And could that offset and size be a function of slip_threshold? I'm picturing in my head how faster slip would generate a longer decal for the roost to land on. It uses th...

Lower 1st person angle with large lean angle

Would it be possible to dynamically lower the 1st person angle when the lean angle gets bigger? Maybe it could start after a certain threshold of lean angle and smoothly adjust to the desired 1st person angle as lean angle gets bigger? I'm not sure but I think it might also be good to check that bot...

This is good! Moving the restart position seems to follow firstlap gates. Could it follow normallap gates?

Re: 2021-02-16 snapshot

Unfortunately Microsoft seems to be intentionally crippling DirectInput so I might be forced to waste my time adding XInput support as well. Not a huge deal but it sucks that Microsoft is always playing these games with their developers. Would XInput make it possible to have xbox controller rumble ...

Re: 2019-11-17 snapshot

The gimbal is an excellent addition! For a casual 3rd person player 75 to 100 range feels really good. I'm guessing it's only on the pitch axis? It would be really interesting to see it on yaw and roll axis with their own respective sliders! What is the maximum angle on the gimbal when the slider is...

Re: Sound troubles on linux

Well it works now but I really don't know why. There was an update available after I made the post so maybe it was something in that. I'd rather know the reason but it works so I'm happy. Thanks for your time and sorry for the trouble!

Sound troubles on linux

Hi. I am having trouble with how the sim sounds on a linux machine and because of this I usually just play the game without sound. Recently I tried to see if I could solve the problem but I had no success. I'm on manjaro and it came with pulseaudio. If I understand correctly sim uses alsa(?) as its ...

Re: Dirt: Rally, MXS League.

Wales wasn't really good for me. Silly mistakes and me trying to drive faster then I should but it was fun sliding sideways during these weeks for sure! Hope to see more rallying during the winter and maybe a little rwd goodness? I've put some 50 hours into Dirt rally and for just 4,99 it's a...

Re: Dirt: Rally, MXS League.

I was about 15 seconds slower of the leaders pace on most of the stages and I had couple penalties on the rest pushing me even further back. On one of the stages I thought I was actually fast but I was still that 15 seconds back. You guys are fast! Oh and that mist on the second stage was pretty hor...

Re: Dirt: Rally, MXS League.

I ended my race on stage 5 as I went over one of those snow banks. It was so graceful and slow that it almost looked like my intention was to do it with as little damage to the car as possible and continue blasting down the mountainside.

Re: Dirt: Rally, MXS League.

Other than rolling the car into an aspen on stage 4 that went well. It'll be interesting to see if the time holds against Phathry(Dankvapours?).

Re: Dirt: Rally, MXS League.

I had one "holy shit did I just do that" monent on one of those bigger hairpin to hairpin sections but other than that I didn't do that good. Little mistakes here and there.

Re: RBSR 2018

Thanks Red Bull for FREE awesome stuff. This. Monster should take notes but I guess the money from the networks is just much easier for the whole SX season then multible smaller sponsors? And I guess the TV channels are behind a paywall so showing it free on YouTube just wouldn't work. I've bought ...

Re: Dirt: Rally, MXS League.

Dusty indeed but that was still fun! Stages 3 and 6 were bad for me. Silly mistakes. I should listen to the codriver better.

Do you guys use actual handbrakes or have you mapped it to a button? I mapped mine to the base of the wheel. Atleast it's not moving around.
