How do i get the template to show all the layers in it.

Ok i wan to start to make my on skins. Can anybody tell me what i need, so that i will be able to make my on skins.

I was woundering if anyone can help me. I've got some skins to download where i can drag it over and put it in the folder, where it is in the game. But sometimes i download the skins and its something where i cant drag it over if you get what I'm saying. Thanks if you comment and help me.
