i found it was just this version, but i uninstalled it and downloaded it again and everything is running fine now.

ive found that ive had the opposite of what this snap is intended to do. most servers ive gone on have been laggy and i havent changed any of my graphics settings. what i run is usually 70-90 fps sometimes more. now it spikes some times down to 20 then up to 40-50. maybe i need to re download it but...
