I think this is a good idea if it wasn't too hard to implement (not sure). It would be better as a message with an option. Something like "You don't have this track, (name of track), would you like to download it?", just in case someone didnt want to for some reason.

If you go into a blank track on time trial it will put you in the bottom right corner of the map facing the top when you dont have timing gates set. You could build a jump lined up with this starting point and turn on "Backing up aborts attempt", so you can go hit your jump and just hit the back up ...
