Re: Computer crashing
That's strange. It barely allocates any memory when the game is actually playing. I'll try putting in some more debugging info since I'll have a hard time finding it with what I know now.

Re: post your screen shots of MXSim
Try lowering ground texture resolution one step. The 2049 disp uses a lot of texture memory.Garasaki wrote:Unplayable lag for mexX JonthE Xx wrote:no shots from mantova??

Re: Computer crashing
What I mean is what is the game doing when it happens? Is it loading a track? If so, what stage did it get to before it runs out?

Re: Game Suggestions
It will work the same way they do in Blender. So if you want to start learning it now, try to do the shading on your skin by using normal and specular maps in Blender.

Re: Game Suggestions
Actually I'm going to do normal and specular maps first. Those will be nearly free on modern cards. Pretty much any shadow scheme requires an extra rendering pass.DJ wrote:Thatd be the first one he would want

Re: MX Simulator Track Competition #1
I just realised something. How the heck did you get it to zip to 160mb? DDMX/Wilsons track was 90mb, ours was ~50mb, and all the others would have been fairly high. I converted most of the png files to 256 colors and gzipped everything else. Uncompressed it was 560M. Running 1.2. Hahahah could that...

Just in case anyone missed it.
The tracks are all running on elsinore.mxsimulator.com:19802
Make sure you're running the last snapshot.

Re: MX Simulator Track Competition #1
I think Shackattack made a thread somewhere about asking what time is best to race. Maybe you should go off that thread. I looked at that poll, but all it really tells you is that there are players in America, Europe and Australia. All I need to know is if 23:00 UTC doesn't work for anyone. That's ...

Re: MX Simulator Track Competition #1
I'm going to take down the rotation and put up one track a day on the comp server. At the end of each day we'll have a race for points just for the fun of it. After each track has had its day we'll rate them (I'll set up a form for it). The question is, what time is best for everyone to race? I was ...

Re: Noble Fals BETA (UPADATE)
just one thing while i download: i suppose those are water planes, right? i think they should be a max of 2 polys each, not 64! they just use memory for nothing! almost done with download.. The reason for that is the reflection texture coordinates are done per vertex, not per pixel. So more verts w...
