Re: 2019-02-20 snapshot
hey thanks man that worked. I appreciate your help. I feel pretty stupid so hopefully I can get better at this. Also, have you noticed any distortion in your sounds at all? I have a quick sample with some birds chirping and slight wind, and the wind is pretty distorted while the birds seam unaffect...

Re: 2019-02-20 snapshot
Also question for jlv, what is the second parameter for mx.set_sound_loop()? I couldn't figure it out I just know it didn't work for me without it a second parameter.

Re: 2019-02-20 snapshot
You mean to place the sound on the camera? Do it like this: var p = [], r = []; mx.get_camera_location(p, r); mx.set_sound_pos(g_ambient, p[0], p[1], p[2]); So would this be correct to place the sound on the camera? var p = [], r = []; { g_ambient = mx.add_sound("@blank/sounds/ambient.sw") mx.get_c...

Re: an @ button
If he does mean in game which I assume he does. With the server side javascript support, I think you could rig something like this up on a server with some scripts.

Re: Game Scripting
I used a single bone in the plane and just position the bone rather than using move_statue like you had suggested jlv. I know you said you would probably add a move_statue that isn't ground relative but this works for now.

Re: 2019-01-01 snapshot
The parameters seem to be like this "mx.move_statue(statue_index, x, y, z, rotation)" where statue_index is the index of the statue you want to move in the statues file and x, y, z are the location you want to move the statue to.DJ99X wrote:Just quickly - what is the format for mx.move_statue?

Re: 2019-01-01 snapshot
Nice! How did you discover the move_statue function? I guess it'd be easy to list the properties of "mx" but kudos for working out what the parameters do. Yeah I just listed out the properties with a "for (key in mx)" loop and printed them out with mx.message. I had to guess on the parameters but i...

Re: Why dont you guys do erode tests?
IMO the only thing that could revive the game is a new lighting engine with HDR environments, terrain tessalation and 4k terrains, and scripting. And optimization to allow the use of more than 1 core in your processor. People always ask for this and I am pretty sure JLV said it somewhere before but...
