not sure, never used xnormal itself, only the photoshop plugin which has inverted channels to blender so you may assume that xnormal will have too i think both of them (red and green) try inverting them both and make a render, try invert only red make a render, than only green and make a render, the...

Blender, Photoshop and 3ds max all have different default channel setup for normal maps, so if you put together bakes, handmade norms from PS and then render it, you need to make sure you have the channels flipped right each time you add something plus right setup for render. get rid of the "double lines" thats gonna give you hard time when doing highpoly bakes ;) you should try to make the polygons pretty much even. JRE posted pic of his mesh here some time ago, check it out, he is the best around here in modeling sweet looking lowpoly

oh cool, i was always wondering how its possible some of the models without spec maps looks ok and some are glossy as hell. Jre, one thing i noticed at your wheels and I'm not sure you know about it... spec maps use alpha channel as "glossines map" more transparency gives you wider highlights. Your model is as great as it can be so it would be shame to not have the best possible spec map for it too. If you know about thi...
