Re: 2DMX: 2D Sim MX Game for Desktop and Android

Is there a resource for sharing tracks?

I'm loving the Yucca Mountain track.

Re: Off Season SX

In game editor is pretty handy once you get the hang of it (which may take a bit). I feel it really excels at shaping jumps (and it's easy to try em out and tweak em in game, since the game saves the gradient curves) I use(d to use) a hybrid method where I would use the ingame editor to get the jump...

Re: Making a Skybox in TG2 with Garasaki

Well I can't comment on how they are doing it (because I don't know) but I've made skies before where each tile takes over 6 hours to render (and there are what, 22 tiles?) so don't be too scared off by a 40 minute render time.

Re: Upcoming Tracks and Track Objects #2

you got one spot where there are jumps, then a cliff drops down to a gravity cavity looking area. That is going to be a real PIA to blend...suggest you skootch the jumps straight "up" in that picture, further away from gravity cavity looking thing.

Re: Sick Videos

The tracks will have loopings and the bike's will have turbo's. But the first few years some dude's will die testing those tubro charged bike's. Because they blow up from time to time. Or We will ride SX tracks with pitbike jumps because we need to ride an electric bike. It will take 2minute's to g...

Re: Upcoming Tracks and Track Objects #2

Just a warning, I've been down this road before and came to realize a track like that really isn't fun. It's just to hard to learn all the sections and be able to string them together. There is a reason the ama sx's only have 2 or 3 rhythm sections per track. The finish line, whoops, and triple stra...

Re: Displacement Map Sizes

Well it's simply not possible, given a particular track disp map, to achieve the same level of detail with 1025 that you can with 2049. The real question is what level of detail do you consider appropriate for your particular track?? If you can achieve a level of detail with a 1025 map, optimized or...

Re: Displacement Map Sizes

An excellent question. One primary consideration is the computing power required to run your track. Instead of simply going to 2049 you can attempt to optimize 1025. You can achieve an added level of detail by making sure your track covers as much of the terrain image as possible (note, make sure yo...

Re: 2DMX: 2D Sim MX Game for Desktop and Android

THe game feels 100% better since the last update. It actually feels like riding a dirtbike now, not nearly so "atari 2600" like.

Good work!!

Re: Sick Videos

Ye, ofcourse is the US a titlecontender, they have (skilled)riders enough. It's not like little Belgium where we have to select an amature when we have 4 injuries. About that, in my mind was Belgium the best nation of this mxon. If you can finish 5th with a rider that earn his money by working full...

Re: Upcoming Tracks and Track Objects #2

You guys all really need to work on your tree placement.

There's nothing that looks more un natural than the exact same tree duplicated in straight lines all over the place.

Lay off the D key and throw in some variation.
