Could you check the corners of the map in the editor? It should be 0,0 for NW, 1024,0 for NE, 0,1024 for SW and 1024,1024 for SE. The lack of a finish banner in the blank track is an error on my part. Put this in "statues" for the finish banner: [500.0 0.0 500.0] 0.000000 @finishbanner.jm @finishban...

I double checked it before the last post. Looked good to me even at scale=1.

The starting gate heights are relative to the ground height, so you want to set them all to 0.

The coordinates for the starting gate are where the bike starts. The gate is three feet ahead of that.

The editor was never really intended for end-users. I didn't expect so much interest in track editing so soon. But there was a lot of interest, so I just posted what I use so advanced users could get started right away. This might help with the starting gate: http://mxsimulator.com/gate.html Type in...

I don't expect the hard part to be getting through NAT. I expect the hard part will be compensating for lag. Basically, to produce a lag free game, you have to be able to predict what is going to happen 50 milliseconds (or whatever your ping is) in the future.

Yes, but I won't lie to you - it will be a lot of work. Don't expect it very soon.

Sorry I should have given this info out before. The keys are:

TAB: switch camera
throttle: move in/forward
brake: move out/back
left: left
right: right
upshift: up
downshift: down
[]: Select bike to follow
\: Rewind 1 second
pause: pause
.: frame step

I think that's all of them.

Paul: It sounds like the game is working correctly, but you might want to make sure your controller is calibrated correctly. If it's a little off center it will really mess things up. What I think a lot of people don't realize is that MX Simulator's physics really are realistic, and are actually so ...

Did you test it exactly like that? On Rabbit Hill, with stability 90, you waited for the gate to drop, hit the throttle and held it without touching any other keys, and it fell over?

You have to use the mx.exe from this page. The stock mx.exe can only read the tracks it's packaged with.

If you set stability to 90 and just hit the throttle without touching the steering, how far do you get before you fall? If it doesn't just keep going without falling like that something is wrong.

Btw, while the supercross track looks nice, it is almost totally unplayable. It's like riding in a phone booth!

LOL JLV i am actually working on this track  Yours look pretty good.... The first section should be more like a triple, double, double, single..... or if you are fast, triple, triple, triple. Most likely the inside of the 1st jump will be a roller and some riders will roll in, then triple, tr...

I've got a new video up on the videos page. It's a supercross track based on the Anaheim 1 map on supercross.cc.com. It's way way too tight to play well, but it is fun in its own way.
