Re: 1St person???
To my understanding and experience with it so far, it stabilizes vertical shaking. Before the gimbal breaking bumps and other obstacles would dramatically effect your vision in first person but with the gimbal your head stays relatively in the same position. I could be wrong but thats just what it f...

Zoa you need to go play a real 1:1 track and then re-visit this postMOTOZ293 wrote:was the scaling changed this week? track felt really narrow and closer to 1:1 scaling than the past rounds. Was it due to how small the stadium is and how many jumps they had in the blueprint?

Re: BAC: 2020 Rd. 6 San Diego
Best track so far! Thank you!
I'd still like to see more difficulty in the tracks but its hard to walk the line between fun and challenging!

Re: 2019-11-17 snapshot
shadows? - Lighting entirely with HDR environment maps. Should be as fast as the current fragment shader. - Make the terrain tessellator work on larger areas instead of tessellating down to 3x3 triangle fans. It'd make more triangles overall but require much less data to be sent to the GPU. This is...

Re: 2020 MotoOption Supercross Round 2 St. Louis
It appears that a lot of people are thick-skinned about all of this until they become a contributing track maker or official for rF. Once this has occurred, they become extremely sensitive to any negativity and seem to ignore all of the praise, or put very little weight on it compared to the negati...

I watched the races last night and it looked like erode was much improved from Rd1.
To go a step further, if you look back at when erode was first being used, it has come a long way...

The technicality of the tracks so far has been awesome and gives it a super realistic feel imo.
Keep it up!

I've always been of the opinion that the main problem with erode is the inability to see it.

Re: Community Hardware Survey
I don't think you understand. OpenGL doesn't completely redo the API on every version. They just add new features to the existing API. (And unfortunately with 3.1 remove features.) I don't have to convert it to 2.x or anything like that. I'd just be requiring features that were standardized in 2.0....

Re: 2020 MotoOption Supercross Round 1 Anaheim
Im not crazy about the berms but I understand why they cant be bowled out like we all would like them. If they were bowled or cupped out we would be able to carry too much speed through them and be able to hit crazy lines, quading into every section etc. The dynos are so fast now and this is part of...

Re: THE OFFICIAL MXS SX SERIES: 2020 rF Supercross (Pro and Amateur) (NA)
rF shouldnt have to tell people with pro licenses how to race in the 450 class.
Thats kinda why it's called the..pro..class.

Re: Community Hardware Survey
So we are on a 2.x version now and we would be moving to 4.x correct? It's kind of fuzzy with OpenGL. There are lots of extensions that are commonly used before they're standardized into the official spec. For MXS, it requires 1.1. It can optionally use multitexture (standardized in 1.3), vertex an...
