Mx simulator weird leaning
Mx simulator weird leaning
Hi, ive just reinstalled Mx Simulator and on any bike whilst im riding the front wheel twitches and turns without me eventouching the stick on the controller. Its started to get really annoying as i cant even clear the jumps straight because of it. If anybody knows any settings or anything to fix this i would be very grateful, thanks
Re: Mx simulator weird leaning
one thing that can make the front end twitchy is setting the steering damping too low.
check to see if steering damping is around 45 (which is what I have it set to).
another thing could be the dead zone on your controller, most sticks on a controller don't stand on exactly the center point, there is some free movement in the sticks. without setting the dead zone the game registers every little thing you do.
the deadzone makes sure the game does not register anything until you go beyond a certain point with the stick.
there is a tutorial on here somewhere to set the deadzone, just use the search function

Hey man, welcome to this awesome game and community. Time to start downloading tracks and skins and really get into it!
There is a thread here in general discussion "post your setups".... be sure to check it out and try different setups. They help out a ton also, and having the right setup can really improve your lap times.

Ahhhh.....my bad man. Didn't see date on my Google phone. Well, welcome anyways. haha
Re: Mx simulator weird leaning
Would it bother anyone if I made it default to a .1 dead zone?

Re: Mx simulator weird leaning
would be nice, but a slider would be better, if it's not too much workjlv wrote:Would it bother anyone if I made it default to a .1 dead zone?
Re: Mx simulator weird leaning
I just want to know if you change it, i'm using 0 with my actual joystick, but these could help a lot of poor gamepads and new users
Maybe it's time to add some controller configuration adds too dead-zone for sure, but a lot of sim games have also response curves for axis linearity, damping on press and release axis. or a graphical axis with controller values
A second key or axis assignation for each game function is very usefull too.(from different devices)
For simulations, not everybody like pads gameplay, i hope we can use better controllers for this purpose some days. I'm thinking about making a special controller for MXS, not very hard to do without force feedback, just front leaning is not easy to reproduce and rolling/steering should be linked for MXS physic.
