Black mesa mx ground is brown

Can anyone tell me why the ground in black mesa is brown....if anyone knows why could they say? (: sorry im quite new

Last time I checked brown was the color of dirt..

Haa i ment the ground texture is messed up (: and its fine now i messed about with the ground texture settings and it worked, cheers
