hey I've been having a problem trying to join servers each time i try to join a server it keeps on sayin contacting server and i wait for at least 30mins and it keeps said contacting server then i disconnet and try it again and it still says contacting server... can someone help me???

Try disabling the firewall on your router.

Sorry, I can't help with that since it's different depending on the router. Check the manual for your router/modem. For most routers you go to http://192.168.1.1 with your web browser and change the settings there.

Well i can disable my firewall from the internet security setups. But that must be a different operating program

That will only disable your software firewall. The router or modem can have a firewall too.

Actually, you only need to open the port you're going to run the server on. But there's no way I'd be able to lead everyone through that.

well, when i got to the servers link on the home page, and i find a server i want to go to i click connet to server and it pops up with a box, and i press allow but it never takes me to that server whats happening???

Something is blocking the packets. Probably your router but that's just a guess.

well, do i just open the router?
