Dannyboy, I don't know what your are looking for as far as realism, but its pretty hard to compare unless you've ridden your bike w/ using your keyboard/controller to control it. Riding a motorcycle is dead easy, any moron can do it. It's so easy for most of us that we don't have to think about what were doing on the bike, it just comes to us. Now when we are sitting here trying to do what comes naturally in the real world, but trying to do it with a controller we notice all sorts of things you never would in real life because its a totally different control setup and you have to re-learn how to ride, and actually put thought into a lot of things that would never even cross your mind in the real world. The best thing we can all do it put faith in JLV's physics calculations and adapt our controller riding skills to fit what comes of it. If the physics of the game are right the only thing differing from the real world is the control system, and lets face it for a bike it is, and always will the bump (or in this case Mt. Everest) in the road.

I would also like to add this quote...

1st p veiw and 3rd p veiw both got their advantages and disadvantages,in 3rd p veiw you got a height advantage to see further ahead and judge speed, but in 1st p veiw you got good vision of whats directly ahead whereas thats blocked by your rider in 3rd p veiw,on the real gnarly stuff is where you notice that most, trying to stay on line amongst ruts.generally i'd say 1st person is harder, but ultimately better once you know a track, 3rd person is perhaps a bit more forgiving cos you can see how the bike reacts and where the track goes on new circuits. i'd like to use 1st p veiw,i have in other sims, but this one shakes about too much for me and does my eyes in,so i'm happy i can use 3rd p no prob. i guess when multiplayer arrives we'll see one way or the other, but i think there's so much more to being quick that it'll even out,the guys that are fast, will be fast no matter

This is awsome jlv, but on the next release, you wouldent mind trying to put the boots too? so you could change those too, that would rock! perhaps seperate the shirt and the legs too.

peace

If you start separating everything like that, we will end up with the same rider model as before.

Well, if you want to choose what skin you want, on a particular part of the body, that part has to be removed from the single mesh of the body. And when its not a single mesh, you get the old rider model look

I think seperate meshes for boots, helmet, gear, and leatt would be awesome...It would still look good with all those seperated. The only reason the old one looked bad was because it was seperated at spots that wouldnt really have seperation in real life. Since the boots arent attached to the gear and the leatt isnt attached to the gear those being seperate would actually look good. even seperate jersey and pants would look fine since those are 2 different items in real life but the pants and jersey being seperated isnt really necessary.

I cant get this rider lean to work.

I download the file, placed it in the install file thing and renamed it to mx so it is just mx.exe instead of 2008-11-19 snapshot but nothing happens.

So in this folder ive got mx which is the original one, plus mx (2) now after i added the other file in there. Anything odd there?

Help please.

Thanks.
