ok well then heres what worked for me
i put both files in program files that didnt work so i copied the two files and put them in the personal folder and then it worked
so either it was it read them in personal folder or its reading them in both (im sure it the first cause i really doubt the last)

Wow, try to put it in your personal folder and see if that does anything. I don't know why it wouldn't be working unless your only running the demo version of the game.

What version are you running? You need to have the 2008-11-19 snapshot or newer. The latest one is here.

Hey just wondering, is it possible to view the rider the same way that DDMX has shown in his first post. I think it would be really nice for skinning, because it would be easier to see than in-game. I think everything could get more detailed that way. Is this possible? Is it done in blender or what? Thanks.

I agree completely. Not just for skinning riders but bikes too. Would be a really neat feature to include with the game - as a stand alone program or like as a different "mode" on the front menu.

I know you guys probably use some modelling program to do those shots, but most people have neither the knowledge nor the access to do the same.

The picture in the first post is a render, in either 3ds max or blender.

It's a blender render. I can upload the blender file, but I'm doing a new rider model now so the skinning wireframes will be different.

DDMX, can i get the blender file? I am working on a skin right now, and would like to see what it looks like when the rider is not sitting on the bike. Thanks. How much different will the new rider be? Will i be able to salvage the skin im creating, and put it on the new model?
