HOW TO OPEN .SAF FILES?

Post by MXCULTURE »

Hey what's up guys?
I have a problem with .saf files. They are usefull to release a skin pack, but you can't open the files in it.
I would like to put bike and rider skins as alt1, alt2 or alt3, but I can't. I just can play with the IA riding stock bikes instead of pinning Rocksatr RMZ's, Monster Kawies's or San Manuel Yzf's... It would look more realistic.

So does anyone know if there's a ".saf opener" to download?

Thanks a lot.

im pretty sure you cant open them because that is kinda the point to them. They are used to protect peoples work from people that want to copy them.

you can change the names of the files just by opening the saf with a text editor.

Well, I tried it but it doesn't work. I changed the name of the files (for example rmz250-alt1.png instead of rmz250-rockstar.png at the beginnig of the text in the text editor), but the game crashes when I try to ride that bike...
Is there something else to change in the text editor?

If you used notepad++ you need to go to the very bottom of the text and push enter (make a few extra lines) then type some gibberish and then save it (notepad++ sometimes forgets to save the last line of text so it gets deleted so there for making the file corrupt.

:( I want to open a few .saf files because the bike skins don't line up with the bike. I know the problem and how to fix it but I need to open the PNGs in photoshop. The problem is that the skins are rotated incorrectly so they have the exhaust on the number plate etc. is there no way to do this?? :(

Think of .SAF as Safe, as in can't access them. Or you can be like some people I know who hacks into it and gets the files that way.

Are you sure that its the skins fault? Chances are if its been put into a .saf its correct and its the model that is wrong.

I realize that and I'm going to try downloading some models... It mostly happens on 450s so I probably forgot to get the models because I have most of them. Thanks for reminding me
