FPS problems (or so it seems)

Post by Mbutler183 »

Ok well i have a great computer and normally NEVER have issues with games, but recently on tracks it goes smooth and then extremely laggy, it feels like its dropping in fps. I have no idea what's happening, i've done a disk defragment and restarted my computer multiple times. And yes i updated my graphics card drivers.
It just started happening too, so im clueless.

I just re-installed it, still happens. i have no idea whats happening. i havent installed anything and it used to be fine, this never has happened before. just one race it started happening.

Try lowering "model texture detail". When OpenGL has to page textures in you will get a stutter like that. If that isn't it, you might want to check the process list and see if something else is using a lot of cpu.
