Automatic vs manual shifting for those who strugle in whoops
Automatic vs manual shifting for those who strugle in whoops
Hey,
I play since few years now, and it might sound noob but i have always used automatic shifting!
now that i was strugling so much in whoops in the 2014 ama supercross i start to try different things and i saw that in whoops in auto the gear where rising up to 4 or 5th and it is why i was crashing the whole time!!! now in manual, i just start in 1st gear on 450 or 2nd gear on 250 and i clear them much easier, not all the time cause there are quite hard but most of time!!
so it was just a little advice to people like me who struggle in whoops or even some rythms, and who use automatic shifting, just get to manual shifting , it changes and help a lot!!

Manual shifting is a must , but suspension settings are just as important .

I was one of those people who used manual shifting for the first whole year I had the game, then finally last december I gave in and tried to use it. Made the biggest difference on earth and really made me faster everywhere. Wished I had done in sooner.

I used auto shifting for a yearish... it absolutely sucks when you switch to manual... but it is worth it.

Lol, I remember when I switched from automatic to manual. And yet, nothing has made me switch to a controller.

Pretty handy as a rear brake too at times if you have antilock on.

What are the advantages of the rear break? I can't find a "handy" place for it on my controller.

I remember when the 50s came out and the auto shifting did not work properly. So I tried manual shifting and never went back.
Being able to stay in 3rd gear through a wide turn is also pretty nice.
