Re: 2015-07-16 snapshot
Im fairly certain that it isnt something silly like that, but I'll be doing some track editing this afternoon just to be sure. I'll check back if it happens again...
Re: 2015-07-16 snapshot
Since the new snapshot my bike feels really rigid and unstable, the frame seems less predictable and just weird crashes. Don't freak out on me i'm just asking a question and maybe we can make the suspension and frame better.
Re: 2015-07-16 snapshot
I think the people defending the suspension aren't pushing the game to its limits and having these weird crashes and suspension problems. I don't think it's as simple as "make a suspension change" or "adapt to the snapshot". The people who are having a difficult time with the snapshot are pushing the bike to the edge and it's just been extremely difficult finding a better setup. I don't think that even the best guys on that game when it comes to finding good setups have figured this snapshot out, and if you think your suspension is good, well it might be, but its likely at the pace you're riding at you don't feel much of a change...

It's just you're not used to it. You could do a lot of unrealistic things with the way it was in the past. Not saying that it's perfect now but I still think it's an improvement.
I'll never understand the "pushing the game to its limits" argument. There's still limits to push, they are just different limits. If you're constantly exploding, you need to check your line/speed, that's not the game's fault. You're pushing it past it's limit. You should not be able to just hold it pegged around the whole track for 30+2 without any issue, which is a lot like what you could do before the fixed rear shock.
You have to be more careful on line choice, speed and everything else.
I think your best bet is to record and post what you think is a weird crash caused by bad game physics and then people can actually analyze what happened and why. If it is something with the game, it'll be a lot easier to tell that way other than just saying it's weird and I don't like it anymore.

I've been meaning to ask, is the last 1/4 the same as it was before, and now everywhere else is just softer, or is the last 1/4 stiffer and everywhere else is softer? I'm assuming it's the first but just making sure.jlv wrote:It's softer everywhere except the last 1/4 of the travel, so I expect you'd have to run it a bit stiffer to make up for that. Also, the shock preload has a much larger range now. The bike actually sags correctly now so it needed it. You'll definitely have to completely redo your suspension setup.

someone please help i download it and put it in correctly but when i load up any Elsinore server it says client to old for this server???
Re: 2015-07-16 snapshot
You must delete the old "Mx" and rename this one. Oh and make sure it's going into the correct folder, not your personal folder.

Re: 2015-07-16 snapshot
No Devin, it is because you guys aren't adjusting the suspension properly. I even spent time helping you guys. The suspension is different than before and requires a different style of adjustment. Has nothing to do with a persons speed.Ddavis wrote:I think the people defending the suspension aren't pushing the game to its limits and having these weird crashes and suspension problems.
