WMSA NATIONALS S2!!
Re: WMSA NATIONALS S2!!
what about if we do the first race and decide from there whos A/B
then we record the number's of the people in class A and the people in class B
then we can do the full grid of racers and then when the race is over look at the results and cut themd
since the B class players r a little slower they'll probly be behind most of the A class rider
just a suggestion

Re: WMSA NATIONALS S2!!
DannyBoy, the whole point in putting them in different demos is so lower-end computers can run them.
I can't watch any more than 10 riders on screen at once. Let alone 25. That's just retarded.
Also, it will make it so the B class riders can fight for their own win, instead of getting killed by fast guys every week.
(Or, we could just have the together spliced demo called an open, which would be like how it is now.)

Like 3 different Points Series?
A Class Points
B Class Points
Open Points
cause just cause u get seocod to last in the A class doesnt mean you'll get that in Open so it would be a exact replica of the other to so you can have two reasons to doo better and would make more points battles and just that much more interesting

Re: WMSA NATIONALS S2!!
if I was a B class rider i would hate it.( i think ) if im an a class im not against it neither with it.mittocs wrote:*raises hand slowly* am I the only one who isn't very fond of the 2 class Idea? I think it makes things to complicated. I think when the race is finished you put out a demo with all the riders for us people with better computers and then also one that is just spliced in half for the not so good computers.
my mxs lags a bit when i've started the game, but after 5 minutes or so it runs smoothly with 24 riders.
IF the wmsa decides to use 2 classes, cant we have timetrail qualifing(sp?)
the swedish championship is using that, the 40 riders with the best qualifing time will qual. to the 2 race heats the others will have to go home.. or watch the race ( but for mxs i think the riders who didnt qual. could race B )
EDIT: IF the wmsa decides to use 2 classes, 250 450?

That's a lot of work to run laptimes for every single race.
This isn't for the sake of just splitting everyone up, it's got practical reasons too, which is what we're tying to focus in on.

Re: WMSA NATIONALS S2!!
I understand that you guys are proposing splitting classes for demo watching sake...
However, once you split the classes, how are you going to figure points out as a whole? What if the winning B class
rider has more points than 10th place in A class, and that B class rider is moved into A? It wouldnt be fair that he would
put in 9th place in A class because he hasnt been facing the same competition.
Once you set up each class with riders, it really should be locked. Each class should be viewed as a MX class and a MX lites class...
even though we dont have 450's yet. In real life, Lites riders dont get moved up to the MX class mid season because they are "dominating".
Back when MCM2 used to have tournaments like twice a week, there used to be so many people attending that we would have
to split into an A class and a B class.... riders got to choose which class they wanted to be in. Most people attended the tournament
just for fun anyway, and just wanted some good racing.
I agree that if we propose splitting into 2 classes, then there should be some sort of qualifying weekend. The track should be voted upon
(to keep things fair).... and then perhaps run a 5 lap qual where best lap decides the classes.
And on the point mentioned early about "what if a rider is good on one track but not the other"... tough luck. Thats exactly what seperates
the true fast guys from the wannabe fast guys.
