lool guys^^^
its not hard at all read all carefully
and ontopic new bikes are amazing and not because of torq.curves
first practics on new bike get me feeling like now each bike have more personality (KTM's 250f and 350f damn extreme bike you can feel max power on max rpm's)
and the best thing for me more then new engines its new suspension ,its more softer on 250f and stiffer on 450 more balanced same as i feel gearing changes now they look more real on 450's (not so long anymore)
so overall i am super pumped like lot of guys here, now rly it made this game even more realistic

The suspension hasn't changed. The only changes are the power curvesmbork-1 wrote:lool guys^^^

Re: 2012-12-12 snapshot
thanks for another great improvement Jlv!
im in the same boat, i read all the pages through, i have all the zzz,s and everything in the mod works well, i can select the 2013 models and ride them, the rm, yz, and kx work and look great, but the skins/models for the cr, and ktms are like the original mx sim with fat smooth fenders. the 350sxf sounds like a 250 now too, so its sortof loading the new bike, just not the skins. i have a heap of stuff in my personal folder(no .shp files), anything that may conflict with the honda/ktms? any ideas?Bubba J wrote:I dont know. Been searching and looking to figure out why I can only see the base models. Cept I the rm, yz and kx 450's all else is base model.

Re: 2012-12-12 snapshot
Got a chance to test some of the new 450's and 350 last night. I had a few beers and couldn't focus, but my initial impression is that for some reason, most of the 450's seem to have like 2ft.lb of torque below 5000rpms, and then it snaps into the power curve and takes off.
The KXF450 seems to have gobs of torque but signs off early and falls flat on its face.
The CRF450R and YZ450F seem to have linear and predictable power.
The RMZ450 seems just like the 2011.
The 450SXF seems more powerful than the 2011, but with a narrower powerband.
The 350SXF is a beautiful bike for those who have a 250f riding style. Much better than the 2011.

Didn't mean to hit submit.
JLV, is it possible for you to interpolate the torque curve below 5000rpm a little better? Right now there really is little to no power below 5000rpm and i feel like it causes the bikes to lose traction more easily as it snaps into the power curve.
Also, It seems like the numbering on the tachometer is off. If i have my autoclutch set at 5000rpms, it flashes to what looks like 6000rpm on the tach. Can you address that too?

Another thing at least for the 125s is that they feel to rev awfully slow in the low rpms when the clutch is engaged compared to how fast the revs climb up on a real bike.
Or I just have an awesome engine in my real 125 compared to a 2005 kx125.

Re: 2012-12-12 snapshot
I'm pretty sure this is because the torque below 5000rpm is so low. The tough part is, JLV really doesn't know exactly what the values should be, as he is only going off of the dyno charts, most of which start at around 5000rpm. I think it is pretty easy to interpolate the values realistically, though.Shadow wrote: +1 to this.

Re: 2012-12-12 snapshot
Wouldn't it be the torque/hp values at the crank instead of rear wheel that determine how quickly the engine revs when the bike's in neutral/clutch engaged?
Is there even any charts for those values for dirtbikes anywhere?
A quick googling showed some ballpark percentage differences for cars amounting to 10-15% difference. A quick fix could be to just bump up the power curve by that amount for the bikes when the clutch is engaged.
