Im gonna ride a 2stroke in the houston race, because i can keep my speed up in the bowlturns since the enginebraking isnt as powerful as the 4stroke :)

Man, I just did some Time Trials at Allamuchy Mountain and when riding at that razor's-edge of my skill, I made a discovery. The 250F is very noticeably faster. Although I'm still going to ride two-stroke in all races and most of the time in general, I've no option at this point but to admit superiority, as far as MXS is concerned.

Here's my lap on the 250F, if anyone's interested.

I've been using the dyno charts from the Transworld MX 250f shootouts. I believe the 09 numbers will be in the next issue.

The 250f's make more power across the entire rpm range. The only advantage a 125 has is that it's a little lighter and more maneuverable.

Dirt rider had a pretty interesting 125/250f/250/450f comparison a few years ago. It's from 2005 but the only place the 125 is even close is at 11,500. It is 15 pounds lighter than the 250f which would help the acceleration a little.

Each 125 handles the same as each other, same with the 250F's. The bike with the strongest power curve (for 2008) was the CRF250

Mikey..What bikes? I find it really hard to believe that..=/

And..I THINK that the rm 125 is the fastest of the 2 strokes, and the kawa of the 250fs..Or the honda..very..even :P
Yamaha is definitely the slowest, but its got the best handling :P
Just..my opinion?
