barrington314 wrote:you do not hit whoops in this game like you would in real life. so both of your arguments are invalid. IRL, you would likely upshift to 3rd maybe even 4th to go through a set of whoops. you also have side to side control and can grip/squeeze the bike with your knees. some riders might even position their feet on the pegs differently. and further more, you could actually have the choice of jumping through the whoops IRL which doesnt exactly work in this game either for some reason.

that being said, 1st gear, as fast as you can go and still make the corner. i dont touch my joy stick unless im starting to go crooked.

^^^are you agreeing or something Matt? I'm still trying to find out where my argument was "invalid"

Your argument is invalid because you assume that you're the only one here that has ridden a mx bike. I've seen one maybe two people w/o real life riding experience post on the forum, so clearly your example of people not knowing anything about mx racing is senseless.

That said, you are trying really hard to pick a fight with Matt, why? Ignore him, don't give him the attention he desires.

Just for funsies...

It's also invalid because you stated the "fast guys" are afraid to help a new guy because they'll get faster than them, and that's clearly false, as evidenced by the fact that several faster riders posted actual help and advice. Not to mention Matt is neither fast nor has been playing for a long time. Sorry.

Nah that's true, I haven't been playing for years like all the fast guys and I don't have a badass gaming computer. I just play mxs for fun so I don't expect to be fast, just play mxs and learn from mistakes and try different things, as I said I'm sorry for the negative comment but there's enough fast people telling you the right thing to do, and also I'm not really trying to get attention.

I could sit here and tear phathry into pieces regarding this whole post and what he just said. But I won't waste my time being that I have yet to see him be anything more than an ass to everyone on the forums. He clearly has misread or misinterpreted what I said. Get mad kick me off the forums but somebody needed to say it.. :|

haha, thanks everyone, ive pretty much got it now. big thanks to barrington314 for the detailed posts. ha, and yea, i can ride in real life and whoops are nothing like real supercross, my new technique is lean back off the first whoop and gap as far in to the section as possible, then just ride in the neutral rider postion like SMR said. i still have problems with rollers and immediate kickers out of the section but its just error on my part. haha, and i didn't mean to start an argument... thanks everybody who posted, even Matt....

WFO, lean back every time you hit a whoop with the back tire. works for me. 90% of the time

what settings would be changed with a supercross typed setup. you dont have to be specific if you dont want to, just maybe give a number of how many would be changed, but specific is a lil better
