2013 Daytona Disappoint

Ever heard of the phrase "ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer"? That's pretty much what happened to you here. If anyone was being an asshole it was because your post begged for that kind of response.

I didn't ask a question. I seriously don't understand where y'all are coming from - I simply said I was disappointed. I'm not mad at anyone, I don't hate anyone, I didn't even ask a question (if you omit me asking barrington to do an updated version like he's been doing) so I don't get how my "question" is begging for a dumb response. The only logical argument I can see so far is that I posted this in the wrong thread and that is why everyone is pissed off...like they took the simple fact of me posting in the track thread as a personal attack towards all track makers in mxsim. o.O

Yes, I now know you can't post your opinions here without it pissing people off...why I thought these forums would be different than the rest of the internet is completely my fault...nobody to blame there but myself. That being said, there is no reason to get so defensive when someone else voices their opinion of disappointment. If I were voicing my opinion by personally attacking others (i.e. "I can't believe JLV was such a lazy bum and just rehashed this track, what a loser") then sure, I agree. But it wasn't like that at all.

As far as my post "begging" for a negative response, perhaps it's more that y'all are scouring for posts to be negative in? Y'all are attacking me and gettin all crazy and wild and I feel like I'm doing nothing but trying to be civil about the entire ordeal. lol And for the third time, I'm sorry to all those I offended by expressing my opinion. A opinion about something that wasn't even in JLV's control is pointless. If JLV would of just winged it and made his own version, everyone would bitch that it wasn't close to the real one. It was rumored it was going to be basically the same track this year, as last year, so JLV went with what was rumored. Funny how people still bitch about that, I guess you just can't win can you.

Honestly, Im a huge Ricky Carmichael fan, but I just hate his daytona track layouts. I miss the old layouts from like 2002, 2003, 2004.

Ya, the old layouts were the shit. Tracks this year (rl, not you jlv...want to make that clear before I open a can of worms) have been pretty shit. I went to the arlington race and everything just looked so tame and small - very, shall I say it, disappointing? =P

I'd like to see Windham design some tracks now that he's hung up the hat.

I wasn't looking for anything in return tbh - I was just postin my thoughts. I didn't ask JLV for anything, he already gives us all more than enough as it is. I'm sorry that where I was raised saying "I'm disappointed in x item" doesn't mean "i hate everyone and everything to do with x item and they're all shit"

I'm totally fine with JLV going with what was rumored - I just didn't know what was rumored and was excited to wake up come Monday and race a new track thus my disappointment. Daytona is by far my favorite sx race both irl and in mxs. Talk about a very, very disappointing morning when I wake up to play the new track and it's a copy paste of the old one with 2 minor changes. I get that the track map isn't available online yet, but I really wish JLV would have rolled with his own design if that was the case. Extremely disappointing mid-season to everything I've played so far. =\

Get the fuck over it, the track was barely rideable last year, so it shouldn't come as a suprise that they don't change it this year.

Is the wall jumps made to doubled, or is it just a coincidence? It´s possible, but really tricky and kicks you wierd
