Some people are better at the game than others. That's all there is to it. I don't know how many times your going to bitch about setups before you get it through your head.Yamaha285 wrote:If you want to be competitive against the top names then join them. I've been playing this game since early 09 and still cant find out setups that work. I can ride yes but i should have something by now that will at least be competitive against them yet i don't. This game is all that's left in motocross games that are worth buying yet its the most frustrating son of a bitch i have ever played in my life. You can get fast with the right set ups but i think that everything is just overdone when it comes to this game. No matter what though there will still be fast guys and slow guys no matter what changes are made to the game or setup. I've come to realize this over the years that its not what you know its who you know. I gave up racing in this game cause i don't stand a chance and i'm tired of searching for something i cant find. I rarely play anymore cause i cant even enjoy a lap anymore. Could be stuck in a rut with advanced and suspension but its not worth me smashing my controller into a thousand pieces because nothing makes sense. Shit even the spring rate calculator springs don't match this game like said. That's my rant at least in the end its the funnest worst game ever.
Are some setups better than others? Sure, a lot of setups are better than stock for example. But I have tried tons of different setups that make people go fast, and I can never go as fast as I can with my own that I am comfortable with. There is no "secret" setup or option that only showed up when we bought our game, it's all in how you play the game.
Example, maybe when your going over braking bumps and can't do them, lower your spring rate some. If that doesn't work maybe raise it some. Or maybe you need to lean back a little, instead of all the way, or sit down while you go over them. Maybe when your going into a supercross corner you need to sit down plus lean forward, or sit down and lean back.
There are so many factors that play into this game and that is why it's so hard.
It's just like anything in real life. A pro motocross rider won't just give you his talent by training with him. If you have it, you have it. If you don't, you don't.
