I like the backupdemo script where it saves 10 demo files. But I hate having to always type it in when I open the game for it to save 10 demos. Would it be possible to have so if you toggle the backupdemos to on, it would stay on until you toggle it off?

Thanks again for the update.

Can you try the previous snapshot to confirm that it's really this snapshot and not your network?

That setting should stick. It's "demo_backups" in the config file.

How the heck do you install it. I place it in my MXS file and open it but it does nothing? :x

Name it mx.exe and replace the old one that is in C:\Program Files\Mx Simulator. If you want to keep the old one, you could name it mxu19 as for mxsim update 1.9. OR you can put it in there as it is and than create new shortcuts to the new snapshot instead of the mx.exe.

I never understood why people carry a spare tube instead of a patch kit. Only time I encountered something I couldn't patch was when a friend hit a railroad spike and blew out the tire.[/quote]

So you're sayin there's nothing wrong with the giant stability ball sized collision spheres for the bikes?

No, I said I don't get why people carry an entire tube instead of a patch kit. I didn't get your analogy so I figured I'd just throw a random story out there. Thinning down the lower frame would be a good idea though and not hard to do at all.

Shoot. Yea. I was saying why not patch the problem (smaller balls) real quick before you start working on the collision response.

In this update i guess something has been amended in regards to how the bike reacts to the ground? (i assume that's part of the collision response?)
It feels better in everyway except my set up is no longer valid...boo! lol What did it effect (in laymens terms) so i can compensate...thanks

I think that's placebo, unless JLV snuck something in! Since there isn't anything about it on the update list. I feel absolutely 0 difference so I believe it's just the placebo effect haunting you.

I'll do that. It's a separate problem though. Smaller balls won't fix the overly reactive collisions.

You should have seen what that spike did to the tire. Went through the tire and tube all the way to the rim, bounced off the rim and went back out again. No way I was patching that one!

Do you mean the reflection layer doesn't go away or that the bike is still fully visible? Is it with an old demo or one recorded with this snapshot?

Handling should be identical. The prediction code is a little different now because some code is shared between the interpolation for demo playback and extrapolation for network prediction, but that just affects the other bikes and collisions.

No sure I understand that. What exactly isn't it doing?
