Make it extremely noticeable. I looked at a few track threads and there was nothing about donations, I did not look at comments though. I think that would be better then forcing riders to pay. I would pay and I'm sure many others would too, I just wouldn't want it to be that way. As I feel if we get it out there how important donations are we can make the creators and everyone involved happy. Also keeping many more happy, like the racers that wouldn't or couldn't pay to race if it were that way. After all this I'd hope to see more donations come in. I'm going too as soon as I can.
Chris has a donate button in his signature. So yes, it's in every thread he posts in.

You need to remember, Pro's do this as there job. Yes they picked a career that they love but it is still a job.
I don't see what's so funny, I said make it extremely noticeable. Put it in every track thread bold letters even if it's stirring up this much. I never noticed Chris' donation link. I think Chris has yet to post a national track this year as well so how is that helping the cause. Just saying. I also didn't know how much the money meant to him, now I know and I am going to make donations as I have benefited so much from racefactory gaming. Regardless of new content.

I found it funny because the donate button is in every post Chris makes. It is also in all caps however not in bold. It is what it is, I don't see Chris not posting the tracks himself being an issue when he is addressing people in each of the track threads and is actively posting in them. As far as I am concerned most people know who made the track for that given week. No matter what there will always be an excuse as to why people aren't donating not that it is an issue, just pointing out that there will always be some sort of a reason for why it hasn't happened regardless of the effort that is put in to gain donations. You just have to set realistic expectations.

I feel the same way as you do, I have been around since the beginning of rF. Racing the series is what keeps me around to continue playing this game, I don't have a problem donating my time or money to help keep it going. I also see that there is definitely a difference in perception when being given a donation and being 'paid' for your services.

Just back from Loretta's. Some intelligent and some opinions I disagree with in here.

Fact is, I posted and continue to post because I do not support a paid replica series simply because I don't like the demands it puts on the track creators. I personally (others may be different) do not enjoy building replicas. I do enjoy the community and want to see it grow. THAT is the reason I was so excited to be involved with rF when it started (yea... it wasn't just Wheels and Sween...)

Others have felt the need to mention that the track creators deserve donations - while I wouldn't say DESERVE, I would say they are GREATLY appreciated and were non existent until a couple of weeks ago. The four donations that have been received to my paypal are greatly appreciated. So thank you to those who took the time to send a few bucks over. And for the record those were split and shared amongst those who have helped on the recent replicas because without them there would be no tracks.

Now my schedule is getting tighter and tighter, and the stress level of providing these tracks has went up to the height of a job with the entitled feeling of some members in the community. The donations showing appreciation are what drove me to be able to finish Washougal. It wasn't the dollar amount that mattered, it was the thought behind the donations.

I don't beg for donations, but I've released over 100 tracks and for the past 2 years that link has been in my signature. I didn't beg for donations and still am not.

I am only saying, if you feel like you would pay $5, $10, $20, $50 for the tracks or the racing, why don't you take the initiative and just donate that money to whomever you feel like deserves it? That provides the same thing as a paid for series without additional stress on the creators and hosts.

Regardless, I will continue to build fun projects and custom stuff and try to keep providing for the community. I doubt I will do any replica stuff in the near future though.

Thanks for providing Unadilla ready to race Stephen.

And it was nice to meet you at Loretta's Chase. I kept meaning to give you a hat!

Exactly my thinking I believe we can make a big difference now, without having to force riders to pay. I'd like to apologize for my very first post on the topic, I was being pretty rude I must say. If most made a donation of even $5 I swear it would add up a lot. Especially if you have some that donate $10 $15+. I'm donating a good amount as soon as I can.

Was hoping for this weeks track to be in the style of Millville and Washougal, unfortunately not. Thanks anyway!
