So where is the link to the Track Competition? I need the new one, the one where badlands actually works...I'd like to be able to vote for it, but its hard to when you haven't even rode it.

This fixed it for me. Just put it in your personal folder and Badlands should work.

Voting was hard. I wanted one of the tracks to get a better score, but I didn't want the other track with the number I wanted to give it to have a worse score. :x

Voting is wack. Every track is all over the map. I've looked at them all, and there isn't a single track that is consistently top 3 except Green Valley, which has quite a few 6's too.

Guess I'll comment here. About the stakes Phathry, I just used them because I was in a rush . But most tracks have some kind of banner around the track (like Azzies wooden fences), but if you place an object like this on an angle, it is almost always a different angle for the next one. Since the object is placed at it's center, the object looks like it's sideways in the ground. Some sections look bare with nothing there, that's where the stakes come in ;). Guess the fix would be to move the center of the object to one of the edges. Will have to try that and see if it works (can do that in blender by just moving where you want the center to 0,0,0 right?).

Yea, that would change where it "lands." You just illustrated one of the biggest shortcomings of the mxs track editor tho. :)

About the range of votes, I personally am not voting because I don't really have time to give the tracks a fair shake, but MY OPINION is that there is one stand out track (SierraMX) and the rest of them don't compare favorably.

It's a personal OPINION - and I've noticed a number of people rating Sierra MX low (5 6 or 7), which is cool, it's their PERSONAL OPINION but it is interesting that opinions differ so much between people.

Likewise, I honestly don't care for Green Valley at all (I would rate it 5 or lower) although it definately looks amazing in screenshots. I also hear it makes for awesome racing, although I rarely play online so that facet is lost on me.

I think it's quite a challenge to rate these tracks because they each have such unique strengths and weaknesses. Take Aldmoor by DJ_Diehl#777 - the textures are so dark you cant even see the track. Textures are a huge weakness on this track and it actually masks how good or bad the rest of the track is. Also, some people aren't really bothered by the textures.

I've seen a few comments that Sierra MX had a great enviroment and objects. What?!?! Are you guys riding the same track I am?? The best thing I could come up to say about the enviroment on this track is: it dosen't take that much away from the excellent disp map. Again, different strokes for different folks.

Millville had perhaps the least amount of weaknesses, but there was about 7% of the disp map that seemed incredibly awkward and, as a 3rd person player, I couldn't see jack squat thru some sections. The other 93% of the disp map was great.

This vote will not be accepted due to obvious bias
