how do i hook up the xbox360 controller to my computer???

I'm gonna try to not sound rude here, but I'm wasting my time on something that a three year old could do, maybe I just see it as easier.

i bought it from best buy today and its the one that is for windows/xbox 360...according to the package

If you bought it from best buy than I'm assuming it's a wired controller, that's where i got mine from. There is a thing called a usb port somewhere on your computer. For best results insert the wire end of the controller there. Then you can find a driver on the Microsoft website that is for that controller. Google does a nice job of pointing you in the right direction. If it's wire less than you need to buy a Windows XBOX360 wireless receiver for 20 US dollars, must be the echo, and then you plug that into that usb thingy on your computer. You would then proceed to sync your controller to that device. It is tricky though as sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. In the game there is an option for setting your controls, you need to program those also.

That is what i bought...it SAYS its for windows. I know it should be simple thats why its frustrating me
I got it to sync once but could not change the control options in the game to the controller. Now the damn thing wont sync at all. Even though it says its for windows with the adapter already, do i still need to buy this so called adapter that your talking about? if so i'll take the thing back and get some cheap pos controller

Ok, understood. One of the biggest problems I have with mine is the issue of it syncing. I even had to go to the length of restarting my computer and then syncing it when the pc turned on. Sometimes it will just not sync and you might have to do this. If it will not sync then restart your pc and while it is rebooting just keep trying to sync it.

thats how i got it to sync the first time but it wont anymore..Any ideas on getting to change the controls in the game? thanks again, It acts like it might sync but then just keeps on flashing at me. I changed the batteries thinkin they might be dieing but still flashy flashy

How do you SAF Bike Skins With the SAF Creator? I'm Have some difficulties with the program........

You need make a folder with your skins , If i'm wrong somebody say

Yeah, I put the bike skins in a folder, Use the SAF Creator to save them in SAF format, then put the newly created SAF into my personal folder........then nothing happens

The skins don't show up in game....

How do you get the track editor. I am on 64 bit vista. I looked at videos stuff on the forums and website. I am confused!!!!
