So the game isn't starting at all? Just take off the --editor and see if it starts. If not right click the ACTUAL exe and create a new shortcut, then add " --editor" with the space.

You can use the editor using the shortcut, but you can't play the game with the same shortcut? If you're in the editor the game is working fine :?.

It erodes the ground away while you ride (kind of like Reflex/Alive). The shading doesn't update by itself though, so anything you make won't show until you manually update the shading. It doesn't work the greatest, whatever it makes is usually square edged and doesn't ride all that great.

Here's a post by Haggqvist about it:

You'll just have to adjust for different scale.

Hello. NOOB here. I've only downloaded the demo so far, and I can't wait for pay day to get the full version. My question is this...I have a brand new HP with Windows 7. Will this be sufficient to run the program?

Seems to work great, although I, well, suck lol. Are the graphics any different in the full version? Just seems that some of the stuff I've seen on Youtube seems much more detailed. Either way it's a blast.

The tracks that come with the full version are about the same graphically as the demo. Most of the Youtube videos are on custom tracks from this forum or PureMXS.com.

Ok, I sprung for the full version, and while I have no complaints at all, I do have a few questions. First, what are "skins'? Is that just like graphics and things like that?

Second, how do I not suck? OMG I am so bad at this. I turned off the arcade physics with the hopes of learning to do whips. I now know I have to learn to keep it on 2 wheels first.

I'm totally open to any suggestions for any of the settings.

Also, when doing "Time Trials", which I use to practice by myself, there appears to be another "me" from time to time out on the track. What is that? Thank you for your help, and your patience with me. I want to play, but I want to play well.

Me again. I apologize for these questions. I'm just a little overwhelmed. I just downloaded the program yesterday, so I'm assuming there aren't any updates I need? Is there anything I should download as a NOOB, and where would I find everything I need. I've poked around the forums, but it's pretty much Greek to me because I don't know what I'm looking for. Also, if I'm posting these questions in the wrong place, somebody please set me straight. I don't want to be "that guy", even though I probably already am. I'm 42 years old, and I've been riding dirtbikes for a long time, but I can't figure this out to save my life. Thank you again. Any help and information is greatly appreciated.

1. Skins are the textures that are applied to models, so for a bike they are the graphics and metals etc. For a rider it would be the gear and boots and helmet.

2. There's really no fast way besides practicing. Put your stability to around 90, then gradually lower it as you get better.

3. That's how time trial works, your other self is a replay of your best lap that you race against.

4. The download should be the 1.4 update, here is the newest snapshot: http://mxsimulator.com/benchracing3/vie ... f=1&t=9179. The newest will always be stickied at the top of the General Discussion forum.

5. If you have questions about skinning or making tracks, there are tutorial sub forums in the models and skins and track editing forums. Make sure to look at the stickied topics in all of the forums too.

Thanks for the help yzmxer. Between you and another member who PM'd me, I finally got things figured out. I downloaded a bunch of stuff, tracks, bikes, gear, etc. So now I have a bunch of tracks to do horrible on, but at least I don't look like a dork. Well, at least not when I'm standing still. Thanks again.
