Re: 2012-05-24 snapshot
Short Attention-Span Theatre presents...A compendium Regarding the 2012-05-24 snapshot...
A collection of quote's (some editing for clarity, etc.) from JLV,DJ99X,Barrington and others about the snap and the new settings in Advanced Stability...
Baseline example:
20 Full Lock Speed
50 Restricted Lock Speed
7 Restricted Lock Angle
"Full Lock Speed" is the speed in feet/sec where it will start limiting the steering lock.
"Restricted Lock Speed" is the speed where the maximum steering lock limit will happen.
"Restricted Lock Angle" is the angle it will limit you to when you've reached "Restricted Lock Speed".
"Turn the bars on your bike. When it stops, thats your steering lock (the full lock in this case).
The restricted setting restricts the range you can turn your bars, so when you start getting sketchy
at high speed, the settings prevent the bars from turning the full 45 degrees which would cause a crash."
"When you're between the full and restricted speeds, it will interpolate using the inverse of the speed."
"It does compensate for slides by adjusting the center. 5 is narrow enough that you won't have much room for correcting if it's off by much though."
"...so whats the down fall of these settings? is it taking away the perfomance of another action?..."
"Restricts your bar movement. It is noticeable in some instances when you try to turn..."
"This change really helped the AI on rough tracks.
I just got a 3:50 out of them on Freestone with just one lap of training.
Wouldn't surprise me if it were possible to get close to 3mins flat with a little work."
Thank You, and good evening.

Re: 2012-05-24 snapshot
thanks, at first i was kinda confused but now i got it. I run my last number the angle higher about 25 on nationals with high lock limits with it at about 35 on SX with lower speed locks because the normal before was 45 all the time, feels good. Some people are saying like 7degreees. maybe if youre running <15 stability but i cant do that so idkTeamHavocRacing wrote:Short Attention-Span Theatre presents...A compendium Regarding the 2012-05-24 snapshot...

Jlv loving the snap! just remember 90% of us dont converse like einstein arguing with tesla over electrical properties
dumb it down when explaining, i have to read the definitions of all the settings in this game over and over and it still swaps out on the way to my brain.
please!, if its possible can you intergrate a 3rd person camera adjustment bar (eg.horizontal slider and vertical slider) so i can precisely set my view? can never really get it perfect using the --0,0,0 thingamyjig
thankyou love from me.
ps. can you give the rider a peenie and put a slider to make it bigger or smaller? i like to have my precise

Re: 2012-05-24 snapshot
Seems like it still locks my front end when I'm power sliding with stock settings.. Is there a way to turn this off?
