Yes, it changes the ride height which will affect the stability. It sags more now so it should be more stable before you stiffen up the preload and spring rate.

I think its not really realistic, bc the back end is way different now...... and the front end is the same so now its just all messed up. Jlv u should try to change the front end to.... so then we can get it like it is IRL. thx.

I'm assuming the forks are already rising rate and therefore didn't need to be changed. Highly likely that I'm wrong, though.

So, what would 100 preload in the rear translate to with the new snapshot?

With 100 preload, you'll need August to ride tandem with you in order for the shock to compress.

Im just asking for a general idea. I know what 100 preload will get you, but im asking for a comparison from new snapshot vs 1.10

High and low speed compression please JLV. I have the rear working good but the high and low speed compression would make the suspension so much easier to adjust.

Man, it's not as hard as you guys are making it sound... Just run something like you would on a real-life bike. IE- would you turn your clickers all the way in on your real bike, NO, so don't run your settings here at 100. Try thinking of your settings here strictly as percentages. Do you fill a fork all the way to the top with oil? NO cause it needs air to act as a force during compression... I find the new shock works a lot like having a soft high-speed damper... again just think like you would in real life. You would never crank your pre-load all the way down on your shock... this would mean you need a way stiffer spring. So, I just set the pre-load around 3/4's like I have on my real bike. In the game that would translate to somewhere around 75 give or take for your riding style in game. (right now I am using 72 and easily picked up speed in the game...on sx tracks anyway) Just play with it... don't give up on this update... IMO this is the closest to actual bike physics yet.

Idk if its just me, but I noticed yesterday when I was editing with gradients that all of them would flatten automatically after a certain time, so I would have to "set from terrain." Depending on what I was doing when they flattened, like making a jump face, it would totally mess me up because after I set to terrain to get the jump back, it isnt the same jump face. Not a HUGE deal, but very annoying...

That's definitely a big deal! Are you sure it isn't something silly like accidentally hitting 'f'?
