New National Series Idea?

I was thinking with the new multiplayer coming out it would be a good opportunity to improve the current series races that actually count towards points and stuff...
Obviously we cant have 30 people from all around the world all up and playing at the same time...
BUT:
how about u log into the multiplayer and in there is a signup for the national series: (here is how it works)
Qualifying
You sign up and you all are randomly generated a gate for qualifying: At any stage through out the next say 3 days you can log on and you get up to 45 mins combined (ie can be over a few days) at getting a good lap time. (obviously u can practice as much as u want in single player but it only counts when u log in)
Racing
From the lap times gate picks are issued in order of best laptime. (To save time as soon as the signups for the race are open you can go into a separate heading that is labeled Gate picks - in which u put a list from 1-40 of ur gate pick preferences) Then automatically the gates are issued in order of lap-times with ur best available preference given to you)
Then like the AMA 2 separate races are run with points given to each... To replicate online multiplayer you only get 1 or 2 tries are each race
Advantages:
Fully automated
Replicates online
Makes it fair for everyone - Gatepicks etc...
Makes it important to be consistent and not fall over just like in real life
If you dont have time to do qualifying it doesn't matter just get a bad gate
Anyway i know it could be hard to do all that automated but i think i would really improve the way the races are run and make it much more realistic

but you still arent racing against people which is the point of multiplayer...I say we just have different series at different times. And if you really want to you can splice those together.

When multiplayer is released, there really isnt going to be much more demo splice racing.
The series will be live, everyone will have to be online in order to race the series. What we used to do with MCM2 is figure out a time that everyone across the world could live with.... sometimes we would have a tournament mid day United States time so that Aussies and europeans could race aswell..... which worked out just fine.
To get into more detail about how the series can be ran, we are going to need to know more details about the multiplayer.... IE: how many racers in one racing room, etc

thats not true... in fact the community here is quite the same as the mcm2 community was... as far as age difference and location

We are going to have to wait and see. There isn't a lot of time in my schedule, or many others, so we can't say how it'll work out until we try it.

We will still run the spliced series. It will be too hard for people to consistently run in a live series

Ya i think the multiplayer just for fun. There was a series on MGF for MVA that didnt work at all. There was only one round because it was wayyy to complicated and only half the people raced. Complete fail. lol

each computer works out there own physics and then sends off the coordinates... for the computer i guess it will be like single player + running a few internet pages??

personally i think once multilayer comes out i will stop racing spliced series its just more real to race live
and once multilayer comes our population of the community will boom i know it will we will have more people and they will just have to have different series for different parts of the world its sad to say but when multilayer comes im sure the community will split a bit to race in there own time zones

Is it not just enough to have One national series to run for a couple of months, with like 2 weeks between every race so everyone should have time to enter and see who is the fastest. Then having our "muck arounds" online, I doubt we're gonna see series being runned live. Its just not possible for everyone to be online at the same time, even if you live in the same timezone.

You understand that that's the way people have been doing it for like 10 years right? Racing online against 10 or 20 other people is 10 times better than racing yourself and splicing a demo together.
