A few questions regarding AI

Is it just me or are they retarded. I put on the original Redbud to 5 laps with 9 AI riders and me. First corner one t-bones me and we both go down then the other 8 riders ALL ride into us and go down and now I'm at the bottom of a pile and it took literally 3 minutes for him to get up by then 1st place had already lapped me.

They get caught up on toughblocks and just sit there gassing it til someone hits them.

They often ride the wrong way.

I've seen 3 or 4 never leave the gate.

They always smash into me

And is this just me to but one barely taps me and I go down but not him? is it like that foreveryone?
Is there a way to make the AI smarter?
And if I were to make my own track would timing gates be the object that tells AI where the track is?

The AI are designed to simulate C riders.

 When i was a C rider, i could outride all AI no matter what the difficulty. Put the difficulty on expert and they ride a bit better. also, leave a space between each rider on the start gate. And not all custom tracks have well made AI.

In your personal folder, try deleting the lines_expert file in the redbud folder. That will reset them to the original lines.

On the same subject, ive heard about "training the AI", Searched it up, and found nothing. I was wondering how i would go about that?

First the timing gates have to be well placed. After that it's just a matter of riding laps while taking smooth lines that the AI can copy.

Hi
JLV, can you make a more difficult AI on next snapshot? i need race with them on supercross tracks and on ama nationals, not only on basic tracks.
Thank you for answer

Thats what the AI training i mentioned in the last post is for. They slowly get better and smoother. Also, The AI on Nationals is setup by the track makers, not JLV.

The AI will never be competitive once you get decent at the game. There is no way you can make them handle the rougher tracks
