National Numbers for Next Year

Post by Sweendoggy »

Do you guys think we should switch to the same numbering system the AMA uses
  • Champions can pick any single or double digit Career Number
Top 10 from SX and MX combined can pick a 2 digit Career Number (no 3 digit career numbers)
Everyone else that scored points get's ordered 10-99 for remaining numbers
Must score 25 points in a year to keep your career number
MUST RUN NUMBER ASSIGNED FOR SX AND MX
people outside the above criteria will run a 3 digit number (newbies)
Pros
  • You are running a number you EARNED
Mixes things up, keeps things fresh
people can no longer have the same number in a National Caliber Event
More professional and replicates real AMA racing better
Cons
  • You may not be allowed to run your favorite number for national caliber events
May seem somewhat confusing at first
people may be dq'd for forgetting to change their number**
**I wouldn't feel bad for you getting dq'd for this because you would have to remember that one thing, while the hoster will have much more going on

Vote it up, lets see what the Majority Thinks

YOU CAN NOT CHANGE YOUR VOTE SO VOTE CAREFULLY

I'd be honored to race for my own number and run it in races.

I'm claiming #488 as my permanent MXS number right now.

I believe since I've been running #488 prior to 2010 that I can keep it as an MXS national number... it in fact we are following those rules. :)
