Forum Expansion

Hey JLV I think the forums need a bit of work it is getting to crowded with everything bunched up in one place it was fine when there were few members but now we are getting to large

what i think we need are more sub forums to support the needs of this growing community

We need the following sub forums

General Talk
Help Desk/Noob Room ( so we can have tutorials and all the information for new players to read so they dont keep posting the same questions) (and so they can ask their questions and keep them in one spot)
Track Editing
Track Downloads
Skins
Tournaments/races (so we can keep everything organized with the racing side)
Off Topic

and i think we need at least one more mod i mean we are growing fast and DJ cant do all the work

I know JLV this would be a lot of work but there are many people on this forum that would be willing to help i would help if you want i have experience in making forums

IF there will be more mods, i dont think it would be good if there was too many, someone could go on a banning spree lol.
Those who i think can be a mod atm is,
joe sawler(hosting races)
voutare(no real reason, when i was the forumnoob i thought you were a mod)
ddmx(skilled modeler and track maker, does what he says he is going to to)

btw, can you (admin/mods) delete all the signup topics ive made for my races when the race have been posted and there is no need for the sign up thread?

i would be happy to mod if thats what the community wanted but i think the main thing is we need to expand

I think the idea of expansion is a great one. The general discussion is simply too crowded. I wouldn't mind being a mod either. I'm on here everyday anyways.

And i wouldnt mind an option to delete my own topcis

i'm joining to this forum every day and i spent in it like about minimum ~5hours in a day lol
I think Joe should be second mod or maybe ddmx lol

Expansion wouldn't be a bad thing, but it's not that important, at all.

But for him to spend time changing the forum, that's time that he could be using for multiplayer, better sounds ,etc.


I'd rather have a good game and a crappy forum than a awesome forum and no game.

Expansion wouldn't be a bad thing, but it's not that important, at all.

I disagree i think that this community needs a bit of an overhaul.
I think that there is too many people joining and not enough room to incorporate them all.
There's a lot of just spam posts that is completely unnecessary so i think we need a subforum for newcomers so they can get caught up instead of asking a simple question and getting jumped on. (which i know i do a little bit)

I don't want to spread things too thin. A lot of boards have 100 different forums each of which gets maybe 1 post per month. That said, I think I will add a skins forum and racing forum.

The noob forum sounds good, but somehow I doubt the noobs would use it (being noobs and all).

So that leaves this:

- General Discussion
- Racing
- Track Editing
- Tracks
- Models and Skins

- Off Topic
