450 B rakes!

Has anyone else noticed that they can't brake nearly as good with the 450's as they did with the 250's? Is there something that i am missing to break a little harder besides just turning the settings up in the bike setup menu? I can jump further now with the 450, however it is worth less if I can't stop before the burm. Anybody agree?

There's less engine braking. Idk why though, IRL seems like the 450 engine brakes a lot.

Of course the brakes are going to be less-useful when at a higher speed. I keep my front brake around 475 when on a 450 / around 420 when on a 250.

I'm pretty sure that it's because the higher rotating mass of a big 450 engine will keep the bike's intertia up for a longer time.

I would, however, enjoy some stronger brakes.

Having antilock on hurts the 450 more than the 250. Not sure exactly why since it has the same slip threshold.

Do you guys ride with antilock on?

theres less engine braking and the bike has more mass so it takes longer to stop.

its because their heaver machines the 250s r lighters and use less force to break the 450s are the opposite

I don't know if it's just me as I use normal brakes, but the 450 stops just fine imo. I switched away from the antilock brakes even on a 125 'cause strangely enough, you can stop much more effectively with the normal brakes.

I have taken ntilock of the front and i seem to stop faster, cant ride with back off as i slam into every berm. I have been racing online a bit for the first time since i had this game, and i have noticed that most guys run the front and rear brakes on separate buttons?

How do you configure the controller, by that i mean wich buttons do you use. I run the front and rear on the right analog together, so if i pull back on throttle it uses both brakes at the same time. i want to ride with it independantly but im yet to find a combination that works. Tips?

You don't really need the back brake. I use the triggers for gas/front brake, and I have the back brake on button B (xbox) which I occasionally use if I overshoot a turn or something.

I actually decreased the front brake sensitivity for the 450- I was having a lot of trouble losing the front end coming into turns and it was because I wasn't able to modulate the front brake precise enough. The 450s require a lot more precision that the 250fs.

socal, put the throttle to forward on the right analog, front brake to the right and rear brake to the back. That way you can have independent analog brakes. Just push the stick to upper left corner when giving the bike gas to make sure you aren't dragging the front brake.

Well that's strange, also how can you use both at once?

Bottom right.
