Dude it's not as easy as skimming thru the forums.

There's no place for organized information of this game. You have to get all the info from this forum, and because it's a forum, everything is presented "backwards". You get today's news first, then yesterdays news, then the day before that...

In order for today's news to make any sense, you have to understand what happened yesterday. In order for yesterdays news to make sense, you have to understand what happened the day before.

So in order to "just skim the forums" and understand what the hell is going on, he would need to go back in the forums 3 months ago, and read every post.

Not quite as simple as "skimming the forums".

Again, this game would really benefit from a nice organized central location of information.

erm ok.............. well all i do is skim read the forums to collect information and it isnt hard so we dont need an even easier option just because you cant be bothered to click back a few pages on thread....... isnt a forum a centre of information anyways?

Try stepping outside of your current situation.

You have been skimming the forums for information for the last (however many) months. You have no catch up to do.

Now, imagine you do not possess any of the information you have picked up in the last 3 months. Or pretend you've never been to these forums before.

Imagine you've never been to the forums before and the very first thread you click on is "New YZF250 model released!!".

What percentage of the information contained within that thread do you think is useful information to someone with 0 background information??? The answer is: 0%. None of that information is useful. The thread is full of nonsense and gobbly gook.

On the other hand, that thread contains a lot of exciting and useful information for you, because you've spent the last 3 months skimming these forums everyday. You have the necessary background information to understand whats going on.

If you still don't get why these forums are not an effective collection of information for a new person, then you never are.
