Xbox Wired Controller work with Windows 8?

Post by Derick15 »

Does anyone have windows 8 and use the Xbox wired controller? People say plug in and play, others say it doesn't work. Am I missing something? Please help!

I would imagine it does work and if it doesnt then there will be a way around it, eighter a driver needed or maybe just look in a specific forum and someone will have the fix for sure

I dont see why it wouldnt work. Just got my wired today sooooo much nicer than using the wireless with the adapter like I was before.

I'm using a wireless one on windows 8 now. There's an extra step to get the drivers recognized. O don't think this is necessary for a wired controller.

It's important to note that a wireless controller with the USB attachment cable does not function like a wired controller, it's only for charging.
