Re: 1st person or 3rd??
I use 3rd person, but I think a lot of the fast guys use 1st! crazy! I also like to see my guy whip and scrub..hehe
Re: 1st person or 3rd??
I used 3rd when I first started. Now I normally use 1st. I am faster on some tracks and can do some jumps in 3rd that I can't in 1st though.

Re: 1st person or 3rd??
I do 1ste. In 3th I always miscalculate the corners so I go to fast and crash .

I have to use 3rd because every MX game I played up to this was 3rd curse them!

1st. I can't play in 3rd at all. Like, I'm slower than my grandma.

1st view, because I like simulators and have a maximum of real sensations like this. Even if I like playing in 3rd view in other MX games, I don't use it here because there's no feeling like them. I think the 3rd view in MXS is missed. I recently heard there's some command line command to change view angle or zoom, but not allow sufficient configuration to obtain a good one.
Re: 1st person or 3rd??
I like 1st person view, its like real, but i use to play with 3rd,and i'm alot faster with 3rd,i can see how i scrub or whip, taking the corners.
Re: 1st person or 3rd??
I can only play in 3rd person, i cant feel the bike, so i have to see it.

1st person since I dont have a camera at the back of me irl. Using 3rd person view is like using arcade pshysics imo. It's arcade.
Re: 1st person or 3rd??
Really ? Did you practiced MX irl ? I can understand because I worked hard to find settings for a good feeling, but it was even harder in 3rd view.I can only play in 3rd person, i cant feel the bike, so i have to see it.
For thoses who want to try some cam tweak i found that in forum :
--chase-center 0,0,0 This changes the point the 3rd person camera is
also DJ wrote : "Try playing with the y value, eg something like --chase-center 0,-1,0"
I just tested, it's really beter. You can play with the Z value too (like a zoom), and both. It should be nice to change theses values in game with directionnal pads, or some defined keys.
Don't forget the "rigid camera" setting too.
ps : DJ, can you add ALL commands line, and chat command with description to your FAQ plz ? This will be nice

All the commands I know are in the FAQ. And you only need to know the server commands if you run a server, and these commands are included with the readme
