Forum Rules - Read this before you register!

Post by jlv »

Any intelligent person should act this way already, but here are the rules:

1. Be nice! If you aren't nice you will be gone.
2. No foul language.
3. Do not post or request anything illegal. This includes copyright violations such as 'ripping' other users content or content from other games.
4. Don't piss off DJ.
5. No multiple users. If you make a new account to get around a ban you'll be banned for good.
6. Anyone caught using an IP tracking image will be immediately banned permanently.

If you violate these rules, you will be banned. The duration depends on how bad it is, but most are permanent. The forum admin reserves the right to enforce or not enforce these rules unfairly and hypocritically.

The forum does have a word censor feature. I'm not a big fan of automatic censors though.

I'm pretty sure I warrent being banned many times over for number 2...

PBnation.com has a language feature which you can turn on or off by the user, so if you want it, you can have it.

Hardest problem with language features is that some words have swears in them, that screws up the language filter. Like assassinate.

EDIT:
But my language is rarely focused at someone. It's just a part of my backwoods way of talking. :D

Yeah I'm on the wakeskating.com forums and their swear filter is pretty cool, actually.

Like, for example this sentence:

Normal: It was too hard, so I said f**k that s**t.
Translated: It was too hard, so I said chickety china the chinese chicken that shizzle.

And of course there's ways to avoid the filters, but that's for the truly gifted lol.

Omg we need that filter! I have broken rule 2 in the past, sorry about that, I didn't think people minded here.
But it was a bad assumption, and I apologize.
