Good racing everybody! This was a fun trial event and I think it worked out fairly well.

Didnt visit forums yesterday dang! I probably wouldnt have been able to make this time slot anyways being around time of dinner, watching kids, wife, etc.
How did it go? How many showed up? HOW LONG did it take to finish entire event? 1 hour? Details, details.

I suspect if i host it earlier in the day my time, all the euros would come out.

I think it took to long.
There should be one heat (Practice qualifying). Placed in a server Based off your qualifying times (or moto finish).
Then the two moto's.

Yeah after all of those 3 lap heats I was done with the track, then came time for the 2 6 lap motos and that wasn't what I wanted at all.

I didn't have any problems with those 3 laps heat, but two mains were too much for me

It actually went quicker than i expected. Although, the track was a little long and 3 laps turned into 8 minute heats. The main was like 14-17 min long. Ill adjust the laps so that the heats are only quick 5 minute sprints and the mains will be around 12-15 min long each (for realism sake).02RR02 wrote:I didn't have any problems with those 3 laps heat, but two mains were too much for me
The reason there are 3 heats is because its actually a qualifying method. Between the 3 heats, your results determine which server you are placed in. The better you do, the better server you are in, and your competition is tighter. The worse you do, the worse you are placed and you race people more your skill for that track. I think its a much more competitive way to qualify, rather than racing by yourself and qualifying that way.
It worked well for years in MCM2, and it drew a lot of attention because the whole night was action packed.
By the time the Main comes, the consistently fast guys are in Server 1, the not so consistent in server 2, and the guys who are not doing so well are in server 3.
This setup keeps the racing close almost every race, no matter what server you are in. This setup also rewards consistency and allows everyone to race competitively.
Some guys said their knees and hands were shaking because it was so intense last night. Sounds like huge fun to me
