Can't ride with real physics?
Can't ride with real physics?
Hi guys I've been trying to ride with arcade physics off but it's impossible the bike just falls on its own and when I go to jump the front end endo's so I've gone back to arcade only been playing for 1hour Max....
Has anyone got a beginner real physics set up for me?

Play longer on arcade. I played on arcade mode for about 3 months which is really long but I wanted to get to know the game better. It takes a while to ride without arcade just keep practicing.
Re: Can't ride with real physics?
PM me if you want a newbie friendly non- arcade stability setup. Playing arcade will only hinder you more and it will take you even longer to learn the game.

DO NOT PLAY ARCADE! It ruined me. I played arcade for a month, and I'm just now turning decent laps after having the game since August.

Don't use arcade physics, they'll do no good for you in the long run. I suggest switching your physics and looking at stocksy's setup and ramping the stability up to hundred and gradually lower it to 80, 60 etc, until you're at around 15. Stocksy's setup is really stable for beginners.

Re: Can't ride with real physics?
Best advice that I can give for a beginner is to:
1. Turn OFF arcade physics
2. Turn on antilock front and rear brakes
3. Set all your suspension values to 50 and use stock gearing.
4. Start at 80 Stability. Spend a few days like this until you can run an entire 5 laps without crashing, then lower the stability by 10. Repeat.
5. Don't try to whip, scrub, etc. Boner airs are your friend as a beginner.
6. Dont go WFO all over the place. Try to be smooth and in control. If you are crashing, you are going too fast.
7. Play a lot, as often as you can. Just like riding a real dirtbike, it takes a lot of time to learn how to ride.

I PMed him a newbie friendly stability setup and explained each setting and what they do as well as what will turn them up or down, Hopefully it pushes him in the right direction. He shouldn't fall over as much and be able to actually learn the game instead of feeling like he is walking on eggshells.

Should say what they do as well as what will happen when you turn them up or down,Xtrem wrote:ShackAttack12 wrote:Best advice that I can give for a beginner is to:

Re: Can't ride with real physics?
Id look up a bike setup and then slowy adjust your suspension. more compression and rebound dampening if you endo a lot when you case jumps or go thru whoops. that's what i did on the demo. then when i got the full version i made my own settings because i knew what everything setting did. takes time

Haha i got the game, played both modes, played arcade for a day or two, then decided it would be better to tough it out on simulator. i didn't want to rely on arcade too much lol. i run 0 stability now and am starting to learn to whipAtom6246 wrote:Play longer on arcade. Re: Can't ride with real physics?
Xtrem - I can not PM, I do not have enough posts. I would like to get this n00b set up. I am doing very well with the game, I just have trouble entering corners as fast as I would like ( I end up leaning too far over ) and trouble with whoops. The timing of rhythm sections I have down pat. Just having trouble with corners and whoops. I don't want to post a bunch of garbage and clutter up the forum with useless posts just so I can pm. I really have nothing to contribute, I just like to play the game. If you could post up this set up I would greatly appreciate it.
