why not?
The forum uses 16 bit signed integers for its topic ID's. So when it hits 32767 (2^15-1) topics, it'll be full and we won't be able to create new topics anymore. It's kind of like peak oil except it's for forum trolling instead of oil. We only have about 5000 left, so we have to conserve them.
